Z1s Terrible Scratches

Hey Sony, I have a Z1s and after only 2 months the screen is all scratched up! I have many phones and the Z1s is by FAR the worst when it comes to picking up scratches. I know the Z1s comes pre-installed with a screen protector and it does a terrible job of protecting. I called your customer support and they basically told me to get lost. What's the deal????

It does come preinstalled with a screen protector and if you remove it,it seems the warranty is gone.How come you got such an answer?

I have the z1s in the states and I have no such problem. It maybe a finger print magnet but scratch resistant has proven to be good enough.

It's too late now. You can do nothing. Either keep the scratched ASF or lose the warranty.

This "feature" is a deal breaker for me and means that I will be swapping out the phone as soon as eligible (6 mo).

With the incredible advances in high tech glass, there is no need for screen protectors anymore. Not to mention, no screen protector can offer the oleophobic properties of the best glass.

I had my Droid Incredible for 2 years with no protector. With Gorilla glass I only had a couple of very fine scratches after that amount of time. With my Xperia, I had noticeable scratches in the first few weeks! And I am very conscious of what the screen comes into contact with.

I really think that it amounts to false advertising to promote dragon glass (or whatever it's called, I forgot) yet, the advanced features of the glass are hidden by a soft, scratch prone, permanent, poor quality screen protector. Really upset about this because I like the phone.

You DO NOT want to take the protector off because the exposed glass is not properly treated to be oleophobic, translation: impossible to keep clean.

Update: I sold my phone today. I had enough. I tried REALLY hard to like my Z1s but....

- I was lied to about Play Memory. The CEO said Play Memory provided "unlimited" cloud storage. Actually it's tied to your camera's internal memory, no actually ultimately storage.

- PlayMemories is ALWAYS DOWN!!

- The stupid screen protector that scratches easily and cannot be removed or else your warranty is void.

- The camera app (image processing) is complete garbage in low or artificial light. I cannot believe the Xperia was recently crowned the Best camera phone. No way. What's worse is the updated Z2 camera app isnt coming to the Z1s. I had to pay money and download "pro camera" to get better image processing. Deal breaker.

-the viewing angles is horrible on the Z1s.
