z1c magnetic charging lollipop display orientation bug

Hi

When using magnetic charging cable, z1c doesn't adhere to portrait only display orientation

Anyone else has this problem?

My display orientation is set to portrait. So when I turn the device 90 degrees, it's still in portrait mode.

BUT, if i plug in the magnetic charging cable(instead of the usual usb), it auto rotates, even though the settings say it's portrait only (non auto rotate)

It seems to ignore that setting when using this magnetic cable

This is normal, when docked the handset will automatically change the orientation to landscape.

Hi, since there is an available magnetic charger without a dock, how do I disable the auto-rotate function. The magnetic charger overrides the portrait settings of the phones orientation and automatically enable it to autorotate. This is rather frustrating when I am using the phone while charging. Does anyone know how to disable this. Thanks.

You can disable auto-rotate on the screen settings

Even if the settings are "stay in portrait view" it is overriden to auto-rotate when a magnetic charger is attached. Try it.

If that doesn't work then there isn't a way to do so perhaps an app could work, check the XDA forum, they might have a way around it.
