Z1C camera issues - manufacturing date? recall?

Hi,

I went through the whole thread about the camera issues.

Sadly I got a bad phone as well (black version).

The flash leakage isn't the only problem, the camera looses focus during video shooting as well, and the most bothering thing is the photo quality on regular photos (manual mod, different ISO, whatever..) which is poor even compared to the Galaxy S2 !!

I was very dissapointed, and it seems the local retailer isn't familiar with the issue..

I'm willing to wait but I am afraid suffering users will be forgotten and Sony will focus on the Z2/compact/whatever they will release next...

I read in the xda forums a review that shows much better results from the camera

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663132

Is it possible that just the first models have this problem?

Maybe we can figure out from the manufacturing date something?

Mine was manufactured on Oct. 2013, black version.

What do you think?

Thanks !!

Thanks, like I wrote in the original post:

"and it seems the local retailer isn't familiar with the issue.."

They offered me to return the phone and that's it.

I see many ppl suffering from these issues, but some don't so I wonder why..

Thought maybe a different production line, that's why I asked about the manufacturing date..

I'm really surprised that a flagship device with its camera advertised as a main part of the functionality it offers, has such a bad camera, and that's the only solution a huge company like Sony has to offer..:smileyplain:

Last week i arrived in japan and the first thing i found out was, that there exists no z1 compact.
Only z1f which has glass back.
Seems like the rest of the world was kind of beta testing the hardware with 2nd "glass" materials... (class.. *coff*)
Now i ran into some issues like shutter noise and found the sh**storm on the net.
I directly tested and found out that there is heavy bleeding on photos with objects on medium to far distance,
but no bleeding on non-black surfaces, when the object is very close to the camera. (tested with yellow orange light; slightly dimmed to a very dark atmosphere)
Im a supporter, fan, lover and enthusiast about almost everything from Sony, but i never was taken care of... Sony "care"?
If i wont get a satisfying offer, which doesn't let me feel scammed for the 3rd time ( buying 500€+ electronics), i will seriously think about leaving sony forever. Im young. Would be a couple of bucks they loose. And my chocolate-storm will warn more people... I always talked good about sony.
But maybe my psx will be the only product i call worthy and my own.
Please respond. I thought you'd care.

Note for sony support:
Actually i am quite satisfied with the z1compact, but i used to own some sony products which had serious bugs. Hardware based. On a vaio it has been the totally unusable touchpad and the fan noise driving me almost to hospital, due to loosing my nerves.
Right now i type into a Xperia z which back cover opened just by itself, for my opinion poor engineering. How can it happen, that the back just opens on a waterproof phone? On the web there were several cases with the same problem.and this are only problems of 2012/2013
I love sony. But do they love me even an ounce? Never got support for my problems. Im traveling a lot, so just sending phones for repair is kind of impossible for me.

Hi to all Sony fans the camera is actually very good but the thing that screwed it up is the stuperior auto that is **bleep** the owsome hardware under the hood, regarding flash bleeding iam not seeing any bleed,so after testing i found the follwoing results for owsome pics:

1-iso 50 for shooting 0 to 1 meter far away from the object.

2-iso 100 for shooting 1 to 2 meter far away from the object.

3-iso 200 for shooting 2 meter and above.

or use camera zoom x its not great as manual mode but it is way better than stuperior auto if u want to shoot good photos at great speed in the dark  well its android so there is alternative to any **bleep** app

for shooting a single face but the focus on face detection, for multiple or large objects but the focus on multiple autofucos

Down ul find the pics the blured and ugly from stuperior auto the good one are from applying these modes:
