z1 compact touch screen not working

hi bassically my screen on  my z1 compact has a crack to i cant put my patern in to unlock the phone so i cant perform a factory reset before i send it off is there any way i can do this withought using the touch screen ?/

You can connect a mouse to your phone using a female USB to micro USB adapter (see URL below). Hopefully this will enable you to draw your pattern to unlock the phone.
