Z1 Compact making an alert sound while charging

Hi

Just got the Z1 compact and really like it but when a charge it I get a very annoying alert sound through the speakers usually when I connect it and when it is nearly fully charged.

I does not happen in silent mode but I do not want to activate this through the night incase I get a call from work.

Anyone else had the same problem?

With the information provided, can you please advise if you get a pop up box on the screen as well to advise of charge?

Perhaps it's the waterproofing warning popup ?

My wife's z1 compact does this, mine doesn't. There is no pop up, and I can't find a relevant setting. It is infuriating.

On your wife's phone please try this: Main Menu > Settings > Apps > SmartConnect > Clear Data.

Thanks for the reply, I did try your suggestion but no joy

Mine is ~ a month old and just over the last week started this same behavior.

I tried the suggestion of clearing data in the Smart Connect app.

Also reloaded the device to factory default using the Sony PC Companion software last evening; no luck.

Same time as this issue started, it also started exhibiting charging & shut down problems.

After charging all night I can’t wake it up; need to restart using the power and volume up buttons until it vibrates 3x.

I’m going to be calling Sony this morning and hope they just replace it… seems like a hardware issue to me.
