Z1 compact getting turned off

Hi Guys,

My Z1 compact was working absolutely fine. Was using the office word document application and suddenly the mobile turned off. After that, whenever i am trying to power it on, the mobile starts booting, as soon as it fully boots up, it again turns off automatically.

Could somebody help urgently on this?

Hi Alex, this would work when the mobile is already on or even when it's off? Because as soon as the homescreen come after booting, within next second it again turns off.

This should be when the device is in the bootloop. After that, try to turn it on.

Hi Alex, but there is no bootloop in my case. It's just that the device turns off and remains off, till I try to turn on the device once again, the behavior is in the manner I have mentioned.

You have to perform a software repair using PC companion. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your help. But repairing the firmware also didn't work. The device stopped charging too. So finally, i have handed over the device to the Sony Xperia Service Centre. Will keep you posted, hope those guys can solve the problem without any further issues.

Hi Guys,

Finally got my handset after close to 4 weeks. Though there was delay in the whole thing, but the Sony Support extended was excellent. They were extremely quick in responding on Facebook msgs. I was surprised to receive a call the first thing in the morning from them and updated the handset status. Kudos to Sony Support. Its no doubt improving a lot.

Just for information, there was some membrane fault it seems. Not sure exactly what does that mean. But problem resolved.

Thanks Sony.
