z1 cant receive texts

I recently updated my software to 5.0.2 unfortunately my messagging app cant respond. I can sent texts to my friends but when they sms i cant receive. Please help

Hi,

How strange. I suggest that you change the default SMS app in the phone to Hangouts and see if you can receive any texts in that app. You can change the default SMS app if you go to Settings > More > Default SMS app.

If you still can't receive any texts I would recommend you to see if you can get a new SIM card from your network provider, or if you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test with.

I am also having a problem with text messages. I've checked with my provider and the connection is fine
This Has only happened since the upgrade. Driving me insane!! Can't get basic apps to work either!!

@CazG Sorry to hear that. Have you tried changing the default app to Hangouts as well tested with another SIM?
Could you elaborate on not getting other basic apps working?
