Hi,
Last week I updated my phone via PC companion when it notified me a new system update was available. The update took me from Android 4.2.2 to 4.3, and the biuld number is now 14.2.A.1.136.
I use my phone with a SmartWatch 2 all the time, and a SBH20 bluetooth headset in my car. Before the update everything worked fine, but now I have issues with bluetooth connectivity. My SmartWatch 2 randomly disconnects and reconnects to the phone, and so does the headset. In the watch, specifically the Whatsapp notification app by LIS software stopped getting notifications most of the time, although every once in a while it does. The SBH20 also randomly disconnects and sometimes it takes minutes to reconnect by itself. I already unpaired and paired again both devices, even reset the SmartWatch, and the problem persists.
But the most recurrent issue is that the phone repeatedly notifies me to "Sign in to network"... and has problems connecting to the 4G and even to wi-fi networks, meaning that sometimes I don't get any data at all for who knows how long, because it happens randomly.
One thing that seems to me is that every time i lose my bluetooth connections it's because (or at the same time) of whatever happens that triggers the "Sign in to network" notification.
I was really happy of having purchased the whole package of phone, watch and headset, please help me with this.

yeah z1 has issue with network and bluetooth i cannot connect to my tv and screen mirror it always failed since after the kitkat update and lte signal is lower than 4.3 to be honest 4.3 was the best a very few bugs but this kitkat ruined the device
Apparently, according to Sony, everytime they update the z1 software you have to either a) buy a new car audio system or b) buy a new car....
i have 30 mb speed connection my laptop shows 24 download and 15 upload when tested in speedtest.com but in my z1 it so inconsistent that it shows 5 mb download speed 1 mb upload there is a problem in wifi and bluetooth and the wifi signal drop sometimes lag in using wifi and screen mirroring and looking pictures via wifi lags sometimes it dosent works
This is the result in my z1 in my 30 mb connection
Seriously sony first ruin the camera now wifi I uploaded this image with my data connection wifi was not able to upload
I wrote directly to Customer Support, and they told me there must have been a problem during the update process, maybe my phone wasn't at least 80% charged, or a problem with the internet connection during download of the software, or something like that, so they adviced me to try and repair the update or do it again.
So, I did as they suggested. Backed up my phone, and redid the update using SUS, everithing went normal. That was 4 days ago, and the problem persists, to some level. I still get the "Sign in ti network" message, And bluetooth connection is still unstable when using the Sony SBH20, but fortunately not as much as it used to be.
Anyway, now I'm wondering if I can roll back to 4.2.2, because it seems 4.3 turned out to be really lousy.
Any other ideas? Either to solve the problem or to go back to 4.2.2...
Thanks to all who have posted, by the way.
Its easy to go back to 4.2.2... Just go to the z1 forum on XDA and they have all the info there... In short, download a 4.2.2 ftf and using flashtool just flash the 4.2.2 ROM... Back everything up first! Don't use the Sony software.. I just copied everything to my PC did the flash, then copied it back afterwards.. It should take about 5-10 minutes to do the flash... Plus the copying time...
Ok here is my update since the last software update on my phone, which was installed a few days ago (14.3.A.0.757).The bluetooth is better BUT it still drops out. I can now confirm it is the phone disconnecting from the car's stereo, not the other way around. How do i know? I had to unlock the phone and then reactivate the bluetooth on the phone (it would kick back in eventually after differing lengths of time), by pushing the bluetooth icon in the quick settings area, as it has switched off (the icon had gone dark).
So, the phone remains connected to the car stereo for a longer period before dropping out/turning off the bluetooth. Look, it is a step forward but still a pain in the proverbial! I want to be able to consistantly stream music and/or have a conversation through my bluetooth.
