Z1 audio quality lacking and Sony SBH20 Bluetooth headset

Anyone else feel the audio output from the Z1 is lacking? When I switched over from an iPhone 4S, I noticed it almost immediately that the audio from the Z1 (using Walkman app) lacked clarity and the bass was weak. I used the same headphones on both my iPhone and Z1 (Klipsh Image S4i). I played around with the audio settings and it improved somewhat but still not at good as iPhone. I'm thinking the DAC on the Z1 is just not as good as other smartphones, or maybe I need to be using a better audio app.

I picked up a Sony Bluetooth headset last week (SBH20), and the audio is far superior when my headphones are plugged into the bluetooth receiver, than when plugged directly into the Z1. Not to mention the in-ear headphones are come with this unit is really nice. Sound quality is excellent and it does provide some low-end thump. I would recommend the SBH20 to anyone looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth headset.

i agree...very much. Audio quality subjectively speaking on my xperia s **bleep** even with good earphones or headphones. but when connected to the sbh 20 , music sounds better and much clearer.
My only problem is i wish someone would test it in rmaa to see objectively whether my subjective opinion is correct, its nice to have found someone who have came to the same conclusion about the sbh20.
