YouTube Update Problem

Hi, I have recently updated the YouTube app. on my Xperia Arc. At the time of updating i had the YouTube widget (The larger one) open on one of my homescreens and the YouTube

shortcut (The smaller icon shortcut) open on another homescreen.

After installing the update both of these dissapeared, as expected. I replaced the shorcut to exactly the same place as the old one had been, worked fine......

when i tried to replace the larger Widget, i get told there is no room on this screen ?? i have tried with other widgets/shorcuts and same message apears ?? its as if the old widget is still there

but not showing...so i cant remove it ???

Please help

I now have one third of a homescreen i can do nothing with.

Model: LT15i

Android Version: 2.3.3

Build No. 3.0.1.A.0.145

This is a strange one!

Have you tried moving the widgets that are still on that homescreen to the location where the Youtube widget was?

I know this sounds simple, but even turning your phone off/on again may "reset" whatever happened. I barely turn my phone off, so I tend to suggest this since many other people don't.

long press the "empty" area where you can't add anything and then check if the trash can appears at the bottom, if it does then drag whatever it is to it

Problem solved,

The missing Media folder i was looking for, was the media folder, then just drop the seperate Music / Gallery apps into that folder......god im thick...new phone....Everyday is a school day.

The above mentioned process of deleting the home screen data is also correct.

Thanx Peeps, we get there in the end Slightly_smiling_Face good job.

Hi,

Here is the official solution:

If you follow this path: Menu > Settings > Applications >  Manage Applications > "All" tab > Sony Ericsson Home > "Clear  data" button, it will correct your problem, but be aware that your  homescreens will revert back to default, so you'd have to re-customize  it.

Please share if you see others with a similar issue.
