Youtube official app; NO MORE 1080p???

Anyone has the same issue?

I can't see the 1080p option from when I upgraded youtube yesterday...

I'm starting to hate this phone... first with the 4.4.4 issues, now with this...

By looking at the reviews for the YouTube-application, there are other people that says that 1080p has been removed. Sony is not the creator of the YouTube-application. Thereby, I suggest that you contact the developer for the application to see if you can get further information:

Hampus,some said that on Z1 it is removed also,but I can use it just fine.Could it be market or region related?

Youtube is getting worse and worse, maybe switch to DailyMotion or anything else / better?

Everything works apart from YouTube 720p max setting on everything and my wifi tethering does not sent out data since update. Tried Internet download settings didnt work and tried unintelligible and reinstall YouTube no luck?

As i understand it, Google has not rolled out support for 1080p for all users on Android 4.4.4 yet. Some users have it and some don't, even on the same phone model.

Your internet settings have probably been reset when you updated the phone and the default internet settings that you download will in many cases not work for tethering. I recommend that you manually check that you have the correct settings for tethering under Settings -> More -> Mobile networks ->  Access Point Names with your operator.

I had the same problem. Youtube stopped giving me 1080p for some reason. Then I followed a simple guide from this forum by changing the theme from the default xperia one and uninstalling and reinstalling the youtube app. Now I have 1080p back!! I still have it even if I go back to the original xperia theme (with the color changing background).

I don't know whos fault it is but there is probably some conflict between youtube's coding and Sony's.

By the way, 4.4.4 has this weird bug where using any theme other than the original xperia one will result in a one second black screen delay between going from lock screen to the android desktop.
