yari - Manual change of equaliser

Hi All,

I have Sony Ericsson - Yari mobile and when I tried to change the Equaliser settings manually, I found that this feature has been disabled. I feel very uneasy as I could move around only with the existing options like Normal, Bass, Mega Bass, Voice and Treble boost. However, this feature was there in my previous phone - W-700i. Any suggestion on this will really help me to listen to the music with my own equaliser settings.

Can you change the equalizer settings with the headphones plugged in? All the equalizer settings on my W595 were disabled otherwise.On the other hand, the W995 equaliser can be changed manually both with and without headphones but all the settings become disabled when you plug it into the SE MDS-70 stereo system, something which doesn't happen with the W595--Go Figure.....??? Why can't SE make all their phones with equalizers you can manually change under all conditions? Or at least be consistent across the board. Trouble is, you can't even get this information from the SE website or even from the phone manuals, so you only find out when you buy the phone!

There is a Java Music player application called KD Player which has manual Equalizer settings.You can download it free from getjar.com

I've tried it on the W995 and it works well.
