Xperia ZR WIFI stamina mode is not working

I have set stamina mode on for WIFI.

The issue which i am facing is that when i switch on my router, sometime phone WIFI is switched on and sometime its not.

Also phone wifi is not turned off after i switch off my wifi.

I have to switch it on most of the time and need to switch it off always.

I have saved only one router settings, so it cannot be a case where i have another preferred router nearby.

Do you have network reception in this area and are location services enabled under Settings -> Location services? Location-based WiFi makes the phone enable Wi-Fi when you're in a certain area(s) and disable it when you move out of the area. If the phone can't detect your location it might not enable Wi-Fi automatically.

Turning off the router will not make the phone turn off Wi-Fi as you're still in an area where you have a saved network.
