Xperia Z5 ring volume

Ring volume turns off when I charge phone whilst it is on/active. Several calls missed as a result. Volume even turns off after it has been turned on in this mode.It does not happen when phone is charged when off. Infuriating!

Settings > apps > smartconnect > clear data > and also test it in >>> safe mode

I have put the phone into safe mode and connected the charger: the ring volume went to zero immediately as in normal mode.

Hi @rac-coon39,

You mean that the volume is lowered by itself? Does it only happen when you connect a charger to your phone? Are you using a Sony original charger? I would otherwise suggest that you try an original charger first.

Can you see if the volume down button is stuck pressed in?
