So I've had my imported Z5 for several days now and the one thing I notice when compared to my Note 3 is absolutely appalling Bluetooth performance.
The main (and practically only) use I have is connecting to Bluetooth headphones on my commute. The audio quality is just as good, but the number of snaps, crackles, and dropouts is crazy.
Any ideas on a remedy?
Could you test your phone on safe mode, if you don't experience the same issues then it's a third party creating this problems.
I have the same problem, any workaround?
I've tried it with and without safe mode, with 2 different sets of headphones.
It just seems very prone to interference.
In perfect conditions, indoors with a clear line of sight, I can get ~20' away before it starts to drop.
Head outside, place the phone in a pocket, and its hit or miss. I'm betting that cars driving by with their own BT devices are interfering. There seems to be a correlation between the drop outs and more "things" nearby. Possibly the soft/firmware that controls frequency hopping has the interference threshhold set too high.

Yes but same problem....
