Xperia Z3 Wi fi Authentication issue

Facing wifi authentication problem on my Z3 device from past one week,  before to that I had no issues.

I have the authentication problem while connecting the deive with office wifi where "usename and password" details are mandatory.

There is no issue with my credentials bcoz i have confirmed the same on other device.

However on my home wifi where only password needs to be entered for authentication, i don't see an issue there.

It means, Z3 has an issue in the particular  Authentication process path.

I faced this issue a week back with Anroid kitkat on it, then i upgraded to Android L, but the problem persisted.

So I think:

1. It is not a harware problem.

2. It is not  due to Android-L upgrade.

3. It seems to be a pure software issue in the Authentication process path.

It is a serious issue, please consider it on high priority on fix it.

Please don't provide ugly external workarounds which will not work because I have already tried all those ugly hacks present in this world.

What makes you think it's not a problem with your office?  What part of sony/google's code is implicated in the request for a "username" as part of wifi security?  Is that part of the wep/wpa spec?

Same thing works everywhere and for others, except on this pricey Z3.

and I believe I haven't done such a silly mistake of not assuring it before writing in this forum.

SONY should debug it out and tell that.

If there is any way to get the debug logs from this phone, let me know, I can tap it and upload the logs for you/SONY to debug the issue.

I think SONY should make up the mind to debug this issue, because it seems to be a generic issue for many others.

It was a rhetorical question. There are no usernames required to connect to a wep/wpa protected access point.

Can SONY support accept my analysis points ?

I can help to debug this issue if there is anyway to tap the logs from the phone.

If  it is already a known/identified issue for you, please  let me know when can it be fixed.

I don't work for sony but perhaps it would help if you added some details.  So far you've just said "I have the authentication problem" but there is more than one problem which can be encountered when seeking authentication; which exact problem do you have?  What are you trying to connect to (site, server),  what usually happens, what's happening now etc.  Do you have an error message or logfile?  You can enable verbose wifi logging on your phone in the developer menu, which might help.

So you had your phone working on this specific work network then it stopped one week ago? Did you try clearing cache of the app called "com.sonyericsson.settings.wifi"? If you didn't, force stop it, clear cache and data, restart you phone and try connecting again.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried what you said,  but  still i get "Authentication problem" while connecting.

I did "force stop" and restart and tried again.

Same problem here my old Xperia z works fine with no dropping of wifi signal but every 5-10 mins on z3 looses signal and disconnects. Sony please address this issue.
