Hello,
Lately my Z3 compact has developed an intermittent problem where it shuts down without warning and refuses to turn on again for several hours. I bought it from O2 in November 2014, so it's not quite a year old.
I performed a complete factory reset using Sony Bridge for Mac a couple of weeks ago and it's been fine since – however it's just turned itself off again after installing Google Sheets through the Play Store, and is refusing to turn on again. It's had very light usage today, and was on about 65% battery charge before it switched itself off.
Reading through the forums here and elsewhere the sudden shutdown seems to be a bit of a problem – has a proper solution been found yet? Can I return it to Sony or O2 to be inspected/repaired?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Muvoqahunn
Welcome to the Community.
If a software repair has not resolved the issue you would be best to have a chat with your contact your Local support team as it may need to be serviced. Otherwise have a chat with the folks you purchased that phone from and see what they can do to help.
Thanks both.
Since my earlier post the phone has turned itself off again and is refusing to restart.
Have contacted o2 who sugested taking it in to one of their stores for a physical inspection. Suspect there's a problem with the battery/power supply as the led indicator is now failing to light up when plugged in, which wasn't an issue previously.
Sorry to hear.
Keep us posted.
