Xperia z3 many issues since update

Since the latest updaye (marshmallow?) my phone has been extremely buggy.  The center home button works intermittently at best, the square button that lets you close all the open windows doesn't work at all.  My phone has been "preparing SD card" for days, even though its the same card that was in it and worked fine before the update.  I have cleared the cache (repeatedly) using the volume up, and power button.  I have checked for latest update using xperia companion, and I have even done the software repair on xperia companion.

If I try and do anything, the phone hangs.  Opening Album is an absolute kiss of death that is unclosable (have to reboot using the reset button as power button ceases to even do anything.

Best part is because the phone was so buggy, I couldn't even back up my texts and info before the repair as it would crach my phone if I tried.

I have rebooted with the SD card not in the phone, and still have all the issues (except the SD preparing one).

This used to be the best phone I had owned.  It is fast becoming more annoying than my Iphone s3 that caught fire!

I should also mention that if you get the power button to work, and restart the phone, it turns off but not back on.  To turn it back on, you have to hold the reset button till 3 buzzes, then hold power for a couple of seconds.

Hi @Landyacht,

Welcome to the community.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your update.

When you are experiencing problems with an update, it's usually best to reinstall it by performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Well I did mention in my 1st pot that I'd already done the repair using Xperia Companion, but I just finished doing it again.  Now I can't use my camera either, so great, because the camera is the main reason I chose this phone.  Also I did get it to boot in safe mode, but the problems still persisted.

@Landyacht,

I apologise, I misread your post.

If the software repair has not resolved the issues you are facing I would recommend you contact your Local support team.
