Xperia Z3 compact dropping network

I have had this phone for 5 months now and recently noticed that the network connection drops several times a day. The signal display icon shows that the signal is good but during those times I can't make/receive calls, nor send/ receive text messages. Really annoying because people can't get through to me and I will only realise it if I try to call or text someone. The problem is only resolved by restarting the phone. Anyone have a solution for this?

It looks like a software problem. I'd suggest that you do a PC Companion phone repair, this will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to back up your data before you proceed.

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

How old is the SIM card?

Any Antivirus apps?

I haven't installed any antivirus app. Replaced my SIM card less than a week ago so I doubt that this is the problem.

Bridge for mac doesn't seem to have a "repair" option, but I backed up my data and reset to factory settings. Let's hope this works. Thanks!

I ended up using Bridge for Mac which doesn't appear to have this support menu, but reset to factory settings after backing up. I really hope this works. Thanks!
