Xperia Z3 Blank Screen in the 2nd Week

Hi everyone,

I bought my XPERIA Z3 2 weeks ago and everything was working fine till I received a call via hangouts and screen went blank. It's all black with a really poor backlight. I tried to fix it by resetting multiple times, which did not change anything at all. It's quite annoying and frustrating. There are already some threads about this issue for XPERIA Z, first generation, and it is hard to understand how come Sony could not resolve this issue till now. 

Any suggestion how to fix this problem? Should I try to get a refund and go for an IPhone?

Have you tried holding in the volume up plus power buttons at the same time untill you feel 3 vibrations then starting your device?

Yes no sucess it's still all blank.

You could try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone, However if this fails then you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

It did not work either. I think such an error is unacceptable. Really disappointed with XPERIA Z3 and will try to get rid of this phone as soon as possible.

You probably got a device from one of the defective batches. It happens all the time.

Just go back to the store from where you bought the device, and try get a replacement under warranty, telling them that this randomly happened. It's a hardware defect.

The problem can be a small circuit when are you charging it, and you take it out sudently there is a sshoook and the phone screen goe's black.

try to press Volume UP and Start button in the same time.

Or plugin and try to restart it manualy from sony software.

I think i have the same problem but on Facebook messenger. The screen goes all black and i do noy kmow what to do. I press the lock button a lot of times unti the lockscreen appears again. What is the cause of this? Could it be a water-related problem?
