Xperia Z2 Warranty problems after 1-2 week use

Hi,

I've bought 2 pcs of Sone Xperia Z2 in the late August, and both of have been showing problems from the beginning.

We have many problems such as:

- Speaker volume is very low even though it's in maximum (impossible to use in car as you don't hear the other person at all)

- When you speak keeping the phone between your ear and shoulder, the other end doesn't hear anything you're saying, as my speach goes to total blurrr. (impossible when you work in office to make calls during typing etc multitasking, this is a majore FAILURE!)

- Both phones does the above also sometimes when keeping the phone normally in hand.

- The other phone, which has been kept in a bag and handled with care, and has not been dropped from hand at all, had the glass split from corner to corner, after more then 1 week use.

We went with these phones to the store (Saunalahti, Finland) and asked to cancel the deal as both of them showed to be useless in our needs, but they informed it's not possible to cancel the deal and return the phones, and that it's not their fault, and told us handle this with Sony by ourselves... As we both perform most of our work by the phone, and have all calendars only in electric form, so working with this kind of phone is impossible! And there is no Sony Mobile office in Finland, or even a phone number that we could contact, so making a claim about this is nearly possible.

We found a Sony support/service company in Finland called "SCF-Huolto", and we went there with our phones. The service guy was very straight forward and told us that they received a lot of Xperia Z2 to service because of multiple problems like us. The % is huge, as they said that from the sold qty of 900 pcs Xperia Z2, more than 400 pcs are now being fixed because of problems. Also they advised that beacuse of this situation, the service will take at least 1 month, but pls understand that being without a phone at work for more than 4 weeks is impossible.

To be honest, we would like to return these phones totally and receive the paid amount back, as I have never felt so cheated as buying these 2 phones and ending up with this mess and nobody taking responsibility of it!

Pls advise who will take responsibility and how to proceed with this issue!

Sorry to hear about your phones.

The latest software update for Xperia Z2 has improvements for audio during calls so first try updating the phones software. But during calls, don't cover or point the bottom of the phone away from your mouth too much. The microphone on Z2 is located on the bottom pointing down so it should not be directed away from the mouth too much. There's also a 2:nd microphone on the top of the phone that should not be covered.

To repair the glass/display and see if there's something wrong with the volume the phone needs to be sent to a service location. Please contact your local support on the following email address for more information: questions.fi@support.sonymobile.com

I'm not sure but i think that you need to contact the dealer/seller in Finland if you want to return a product for a refund.
