Xperia Z2 charger cover piece loose?

So i've had my z2 for about 3 weeks, suddenly the dust protector protecting the charger port and sim card keeps falling out whenever its in my pocket?! What gives?!

Same problem here, im from mexico and there are no way to solve this issue! The cap have a very poor quality,

Is there any other solution for this popping flaps Than replacing them.it is really annoying seeing flaps always open.

This is happened to me on my xperia z2. You just need to make sure the plastic flap bracket that attached to the phone body is straight. You need to adjust it by pressing with your finger to make it straight 90 degrees with the flap then it will solve the problem.

helow sir almost same to you my problem its better dont remove the sim card and the cover if you make charge use the magnetic dock charger its better to use that and no need to remove and remove and remove the cover, very simple that charger you can use.. tnx

its verry easy no need to remove and remove the cover you must buy a magnetic dock charger finish your problem..

It's a design and choice of materials problem. Didnt have any problems with the cover until I started charging my phone via microusb port. I changed my phone case and couldnt use the magnetic dock anymore (side flip case with no magentic port acces) and now after 1 month of use... cover keeps popping. And it's not from tension or accidental touching because my flip case covers the charger cover so I cant accidentally touch or open it (even in my pocket) and the case is a hard back one. I think I will send it into Sony service (will have to wait 2 weeks or so) but I found a solution if they fix my cover- there is a usb cable for the magnetic port or adaptors(Deff). Not so great that this happens to a flagship phone...

My xperia z2 charging cover popped out and I lost it somewhere. Does sony provide a new cover for free for within warranty mobile or do they charge?

Like all of you I've suffered this problem for too long. Until today I've been too busy to do anything about it. The good news is... I've had success.
I noted the user who said that cleaning the cover worked for her/him. Initially I just tried q-tips and fingernails with a bit of isotropy alcohol... without success.
Then I got a bright light, a magnifying glass and a tool usually reserved by dentists for exploring teeth.
The hard part was the end of the cover attached to the phone. .
So... I ran the tool around all the appropriate surfaces on the door and the repeated the chore with the aperture.
The amount of dirt I managed to pick up like that was miniscule... small enough to make you think it wouldn't make a difference... but it did.
I guess it's just a really, really, really tight fit. If you get it really, really clean, the door stops popping.

Addendum: After leaving the phone charging overnight the problem represented.

I repeated the careful clean and found a miniscule bit of cotton fibre that must have just floated in.

After the second careful clean the door has been shut for over 24hrs and hasn't opened so much as a micron.

'm going to get a really really clean plastic bag and semi-skilled the phone in there while it's charging. It's a bit of a hassle but way easier than cleaning the door and Port after every charge. And waaay easier than having the door continually opening. Cheers...

Err... the previous post should read 'semi-sealed'... like with an elastic band or some such.
