Xperia Z1 won't turn on, LED flashes red

Hello I've left my z1 on charge over night gone to check my texts and it will not turn on just a red light flashing. I've tried the whole volume Nd power button still not turning it on .... Should I just take it back to the store

I'm sorry to hear. I suggest that you disconnect the phone from the charger and then hold the ON/OFF button + volume up(+) for 5 seconds. Without trying to power the unit on, connect it to the charger again and let it charge for 1-2 hours before you try to turn it on.

But if the issue remain, I suggest that you contact your retailer or that you contact your local support team to get information about how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

Exact same thing happened to me day after installing KitKat 14.3.A.0.757 (after 5 months of no hardware issues). I've seen one other person post about this in the last week. I've had to send mine back to Sony Repair Centre as I couldn't even get it back to a state to run SUS.

The Z1 is great hardware with the worst software I've seen in a consumer product ever. Nearly every response on this forum is run SUS and reflash the OS. I (due to my work) get to run the latest smartphones and carry 5 devices. I've never had problems with other devices to the same extent as I have with the Z1. Will never buy or recommend to the company the use of Sony products.

I connected my phone in my laptop so it will be charged and i will be able to access and transfer files to and from my laptop. Then i heard my msg tone and get to check it. I pressed thr power button to light my screen up yet it wont show any. Led flashes red. I had my officemate ring my phone. She hears my line ringing in her phone yet my phone doesnt ring at all. Still with black screen and red led flashes. It happened to me for three times already. What i did is to push that lil red something on the upper right side just above the power button. Yet, it doesnt work immediately. This dont happen with my other xperia phones.
