Xperia Z1 randomly pausing music when playing through AUX cord

Hi, My Xperia Z1 has the weirdest issue, i've only had the phone for about a week now and it is updated to the latest 4.4.2, and has no custom software or anything on it. Every time I play music in my car through the AUX cord it will only play for a few minutes usually and then pause, but when i turn the display back on it will start playing again without having to hit play on the screen. I've tested the AUX cord on another phone and it had no issue, also have tried turning off stamina mode but no luck

Anyone have any idea what could be happening? any help would be appriciated, but not just factory reseting.

I would suggest that you first of all try with another AUX cable to see if you experience any difference. You could also try to use different music players to see if the phone behaves differently.
