I've had my Xpeira Z1 Compact for about 2 months now, and I've started to notice that the battery life isn't as good as it was when I bought the phone. Before it could last for about 3 days or more without Stamina mode, but now it cant even last a full day with Stamina mode always on. I charge it every night and use it abit in the morning, but then when I leave for school the battery is at around 70% after using it for half an hour.
Do you have task killers, battery savers?
I always close my programs and have Battery Doctor and Clean Master installed. I rarely play games or anything like that.
Look in the Energy list and see which app or device is consuming most.
You find this under Setup.
When my battery runs flat in less than a day it is Bluetooth causing the trouble.....
As I use Bluetooth (SmartWatch SW2, BT carkit and BT headset) I can't switch it off.
But it is not every day and I haven't found the root cause yet
Remove all those "doctors" and "masters" and see if anything improves.
Probably that is how stamina estimates, there is nothing wrong. It means you are using the smartphone pretty much.To reset stamina, first disable it,after that go to settings-apps-all-eco mode controller, force stop and clear data.Restart the device.Enable stamina and charge.
You didnt try to use video recording a few times at all?
See: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Compact/Any-solution-to-flash-bleeding-yet/m-p/705147#M5648
After sending the phone away for flash bleed and camera crashes and getting it returned unfixed and reset, the phone has got slower and shorter battery life by the week.
After the 1st few times using video recording here the phone got that hot it shut down a few times and now i get about 1/3 batttery life compared to when new. I dont install many apps really so its not some crap running in background and ive reset it a few times now and still makes no difference.
Im now getting the phone replaced or exchanged from the seller as Sony and its support seem indifferent and try to fob off the issue to a users fault instead of a botched design.
Mobilephonesdirect.co.uk dont usually handle warranty issues after 14 days but due to the amount of issues these Z1C are having, they are willing to help since Sony isnt willing to support the crap they are selling.
Even the guy at MPD support says he has never seen so many complaints and returns for a phone the Z1 Compact is having atm and highly recommends taking a different make of handset in return due to all the issues he is seeing across Sony handsets recently.
It sounds silly but I have good and bad days with my battery? Staff aren't permitted phones at work so they have to be left in your locker, effectively putting the phone into airplane mode - there's absolutely no signal possible where mine is kept during the day but on a full charge and after 8 hours, when I get my phone back sometimes its at 85% and then some days its around the 65% mark... its weird and completely inconsistent!
I have Battery Doctor installed atm and Clean Master also, BD is supposedly shutting down all my apps when the screen is locked but I don't think it can be? I also have location based wifi enabled.
On the plus side, I still get a day of heavy use of my phone in comparison to my old 4S, so I'm still happy. When I first got this phone in February I could easily get 2.5/3 days out of it with normal use - the battery can't have degraded that quickly can it
@slipd - Just a tip for you; if your phone is being placed in an area where there is no signal then it is worthwhile putting it on airplane mode otherwise it will consume considerable battery just trying to source a signal.
