Hi
I've noticed a few 'similar' posts but not exactly the same.
I have had my Xperia Z1 for aro 5 months. Bluetooth pairs fine with my car audio (Mercedes Benz) but the Bluetooth connection drops out every couple of minutes. It reconnects straight away (automatically) but this frequently happens in the middle of a call (very annoying).
I have tried resetting and re-pairing and software upgrades don't have any impact (as I say this problem has been evident since 5 months). Have also tried switching WiFi off whilst using Bluetooth but that makes no difference.
I have tried other phones which work fine with no dropped connection.
Am at the point of thinking I will ditch this phone and (revert) to an iPhone..................sad 😞
Any suggestions welcomed.
Cheers
Did you even manage to sort this problem - I hae the same issue with a 2012 C200 and my new Xperia Z1. I had no problem with the Blackberry which went before, and the phone works fine in my wife's Toyota...
Hi,
I had the same problems with my car audio and the only way to fix it is to revert back to 4.2.2 (.257) as Sony/Google have completely screwed-up the bluetooth stack on 4.3 (and 4.4). I have used a Samsung S3 on 4.3 with my car audio and it works fine as I believe Samsung (like Apple) use a bluetooth stack which works. I think that Google should stop pratting around with gimmicks in each release of Android and concentrate on keeping stuff which works "as is" ......
no problem at all running 4.3 (.290) my phone connects to any bluetooth (headset, car, portable speakers, pc) and never drops.

Same...I have a 13 plate Mercedes C Class C200 and the phone connection drops out every minute or so for about 10 seconds. I have also got a problem trying to connect my mobile to my home wifi.....SHall I just send this phone back?
The bluetooth audio with my Z1 and Jawbone ICON HD can get noisy / corrupt in both phone or music streaming. After the firmware has upgraded to 4.3, it fixed the music stream but not the phone streaming.
I tested my Jawbone bluetooth with Samsung and it works fine.
The latest updated firmware did nothing to improve my bluetooth connection with my sony car head unit.
Is this going to be fixed
