xperia z walkman shuffle functionality

This is some thing i hate about sony..They almost come so close to perfection but leave the consumers behind with some annoying functionality.

I have been a user of xperia for years last phone was GO, and now Xperia ZL. Why is the music shuffle functionality is in an unknown place.Why can t sony keep it simple,and have the shuffle button when the track is playing like all other smart phones do.

The most annoying feature of this sony shuffle is when a fauvourite track is manually chosed the shuffle disables and we have enable it again.Please please guys i dont want go for another music player ,the walkman functionalities are great.Please keep the shuffle option while playing the tracks and let it not auto disable when a user manually changes the track.

This is bare minimum functionality of shuffle option for music.

I agree the shuffle and repeat options are hidden, Google Music its a great music player too and you can store 20,000 songs on its cloud service

I don't know why there is no more option to manually set the picture of the song or album. The automatic update for all covers very often is wrong. In the past there were option to set it manually from sd card or simply search for it in the Google... Please Sony bring back this functionality.

not quite, adding or changing the album art has not been available at all, I have multiple Xperias (2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013) and this has not been available you have to use another app to do so or before you transfer your music you can use WMP and look for the album art, or use media go to transfer the music but "album grabber" it's a lot easier to use.

I agree, not just Music player. Best example is the Home Launcher that doesn't have those basic function found on some other launcher. And I wasn't surprise, I've been an Xperia user since X10. I don't know but somehow I think I know now, It's one of their marketing strategy. "Let's make it lack of this function, and put it on the later model". Like what they did to Nxt series.

The new Jb Home launcher has a new features that has been a features presented on most launcher. But still a lot of basic functions are missing, like making the wallpaper unscrollable and the infinite loop.

On the hardware part; They are releasing a new model Xperia SP which has the complete features found on the Nxt series. I won't be surprise if the next year's flagship will be a waterproof phone with transparent strip.

They are saving those features (though they can make it possible now) so that you (buyers) will feel wanting to buy the new phone just because your current phone doesn't have that feature. And that's how their marketing strategy works.

each OME has it's own home launcher, that's the great thing about a smartphone, you have the play store to download as many apps as you want/need to customize your phone as much as you want.

I don't see how a homelauncher its an issue, like I said you can download myriad home launchers to have those features, but it seems that you might be more interested on a nexus phone  (vanilla android)

You know that the Xperia launcher is the most beautiful launcher available in the world.

and you cant use Xperia widgets with other launcher.
