Hi,
I have been using Xperia Z since 3-4 weeks and since today morning I am facing a strange issue. I am unable to launch any application like SMS Inbox, Call log, Browser, Camera and other installed Apps. Even after clicking on the App Icons for many times repeatedly, I am unable to launch them ! However, I am able to unlock the screen and slide down the notifications panel.
I did a restart the phone by holding the power button + Volume Up for 10 secs, even then facing the same issue.
Anyone else facing the same problem ? Any advice would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Chetan
it might be an app acting up
uninstall any
taskillers
antivirus
battery apps
ram apps
booster apps
restart your phone
and try again

if that doesn't work then you might have to repair your phone with either PCC or SUS
Update Service (SUS)

Couple of weeks back I was facing an issu, where the phon wasn't getting swicthed on..! Phone was just displaying the "Sony" word on the screen and it would restart. This happened repeatedly. So, I repaired my phone using Sony Update Service software and even then issue dint get resolved..! Then, I gave my phone to service center and after couple of days they returned me the device. They said there was a virus in the phone and so they had to re-install the software. I wasn't really convinced with there explanation of virus as I had installed anti-virus app and used to scan my phone regularly ..! But, since the problem got resolved I dint worry on that much...!
Now, I am faced with a new issue..! I re-installed all the apps on the phone but stil having the same problem..!
I've seen that before and most of the time the culprit was an "app" so again do NOT install any taskiller, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps, booster apps.
so, no anti-virus app required for the phone ?
there isn't any known virus on Android. so no, you don't need antivirus.
ok..! So, It looks like I need to again give my phone to service center..!!! :smileysad::smileyconfused:
bummer, keep us updated.
