Is there any update on this feature?

I myself have an Xperia ZL and would like to use my wireless PS3 controller with it. However, there are 2 problems:

  1. I have 2 DUALSHOCK 3 controllers, which may infact be fakes.
  2. The Xperia ZL doesn't have native DUALSHOCK 3 controller support.

I tried to counter #2 by installing the "Sixaxis Controller" app from the Play Store. But no matter what I try, I can't pair the controllers with my phone. Too bad, because the Compatibility Checker told me it could have worked.

These fake DUALSHOCK 3 controllers caused problems for my advanced purposes before, yet they worked just fine on my PS3 (until it died from overheating). So, in the off chance that native DUALSHOCK 3 support against all odds would pair with my controllers, I was just wondering which Xperia model(s) would get native support (and when, if possible)?

The latest update for Sony Xperia ZL does have native support for DUALSHOCK 3. Depending on where you bought your phone you might have have this update yet due to local and operator approval.

Finally updated Xperia ZL firmware to latest version, it indeed has native support for DUALSHOCK 3.

Unfortunately, my unofficial controllers aren't supported via native bluetooth either. I wish China would stop making such fakes. Slightly_frowning_Face
