Is your phone visible to other devices? You need to go to Settings > Bluetooth, and see the option on the top which displays your phone's name, does it say "Only visible to paired devices"? If it does, tap it and it will say "Visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices". Then your phone will be detected by other devices.

It stopped working after I updated to the latest firmware. I just bought my phone last week.
It can be a software glitch. Just to rule it out, perform a software repair on your phone.
Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts, apps)
Update/Repair your phone via SUS
SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
doesn't help at all. should i return my phone? or go to sony center?
and one more, i just found out that my mobile data ins't working also. after i udpated and install the internet settings, i cant connect to the net using the mobile data. omg. what's happening? i hope it's just a software glitch. my phone isn't even 1 week old. i hope you could clarify things. and i haven't done anything, i jst updated the software =c
As the problem remains even after a repair of the phones software i recommend that you contact your dealer, a service location or local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) for assistance.
