Xperia x10 camera error [unkown error]

I have xperia x10 running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, whenever i open camera i get this errors "Unknown error" and the camera app closes.

I figured out it was the "face detection" causing this, had to be a lil creative to disable the "face detection" , but i like the face detection so i would really like to know if there is a fix for this bug.

I started noticing this issue couple days after i installed Just Dance 3 from android market .

I have tried "clearing camera date" , reset phone & Phone software Repair (Pc companion) but none of them have help me resolved the issue, can someone help me resolve this issue ?

Sorry guys i , just did another "Factory reset" after "Pc companion software repair" and voila! it works Fine now

It seems the error didnt go entirely, if i would end task "camera" the error came back but only 1st time after you end camera task.

Found solution to this too ^ :

Open camera , hit menu key/button , Advance settings , scroll down to Reset settings and touch ok, and its done.

Now even if i end camera task and start camera app again the error doesnt come back.

Well i just taught to share this information as someone else might experience same issue.

camera error can be rectified by two steps,

1. Connect ur phone to pc with pc companion or unmount the sd card from it. Then open the camera app.it shows a message "no sd card" or something like that.If the camera application can run in the absence of sd card do the next step.

2.Cconnect ur sd card to pc by either card reader or the device.open the drive then reset the computer setting to "show hidden files and folders" and delete thumbnails,cache in camera folders(DICM) or back up the personal data and format it.(check back up contains thumbnails,cache.....).ur camera will work finely.............................

Kool, i will check it out and update if it fixed, cuz i still see the error once the camera is started 1st time.

I encounterted this error recently and upon following the article and the steps listed here..I no more have problems accessing my Xperia Camera
