Xperia V turns off after last update

After update to 9.2.A.1.199. It only happens after charging, when a battery is full, then the phone shows 0% and turns off. When I turn it on th battery is full again (( I've done everything what russian sonymobile support said to do. The phone has worked fine 3 weeks, but I have the same problem now. I am trying to reupdate it through a pc companion, after resetting to factory settings. But I'm not sure if it won't happen again(

Use sony update service to repair:

Hi,

I experience exactly the same. And many other users on Russian forums report the same as well.

I have 9.2.A.0.295, Netherlands version. Installed using PC Companion, with complete wipe of the phone.

I am using exactly the same apps that I were using for almost a year with 4.1.2.

No root, no apps installed from apk, no 3rd-party launchers etc.

If there is any kind of debug information that I can gather, please let me know.

But one thing I can not do - I can not wipe the phone again. I am using it, or at least trying to use...

And I really doubt that repair will help, because as I said, the software was installed from scratch, with complete wipe.

One thing that I am testing now - I am trying to disable STAMINA before putting the phone for charging. Don't know why, but I have the feeling that it might be related. So far it is too early to say that it solves the problem, but I will update in a week or so (or earlier if the phone turns off even without STAMINA).

Hello.

So, my second PC Companion reupdating wasn't successfull too, after couple of days my phone started turn off after full charging again. As a result I've reseted it to factory settings again preparing device for reupdating through Update Service. I used Update Service at Monday 7th April, so it's still early to say if it helped or not.

Anyway, I've found that some Xperia T/TX users at this forum are experiencing this problem too. They suggest another solution, because reupdating through Update Service hasn't helped them. They just downloaded "Safe Charge" app from PlayStore after all. It's absolutly free app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sash.sodeliminator

They say it really helps. I've installed it too, but before using it I want to undestand if the Update Service helped.

Recently updated to 9.2.A.0.295 and my Xperia V began exibiting the same behaviour. Incidently the docking station now also misbehaves with intermittent charging (contacts are clean).

I've reset the phone and played around with STAMINA, etc to no avail. Phone tends to power-off while on charge, and typically around 4:30am for some reason. As described by Cayrin, charge indicator flashes very low level like 0% then phone shuts down. Starting the phone up again then shows full charge.

I have now taken to not charging the phone at night, but rather during the day, which isn't always convenient.
