Xperia U will not switch on

Help

My sony xperia U would not open my messages at the weekend so i switched the phone off and tried to switch it back on.

The phone switches on, the SONY logo is shown for about 4 secs then the screen goes black and then the process is repeated.

The only way to stop this is to removed the battery.

I left it on this loop for a few hours but the phone never loaded.

I have plugged into my PC but my PC doesnt even recognise that a device is plugged in.

The phone does charge and the red LCD light is on when charging and is green when chraged as expected.

PLease help.

Sorry to hear about your phone. I suggest that you try to repair/reinstall the phone software using Sony Update Service. 

Download the program and follow the instructions to update the phone, you will connect the phone wile it is turned off:

Happens with me too
What u gotta do is
When the sony logo comes quickly pull the cable out and then insert it back in
Then it will show the charging icon
Just wait till it's fully charged and then switch it on.

The update worked but now phone is full of glitches. 

Its forever freezing. 

Messages are being received anything between twice and and 20 times. as well as coming through with a massive time lag. 

Totally fed up with it.

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried to make a factory reset after the update? It may be a good idea since you had some issues before updating.
