This is my first time to have a sony product, and I'm really disappointed with it.
After i updated my phone with the latest update that is available, it really messed up my phone.
the left part of the screen isn't working at all, i tried repairing it with SUS, factory reset but nothing helps.
I am also facing similiar problem. I am also buying a Sony Product for the first time & after ICS update my right side of screen is not responding to any touch ( about 20% of screen).
Anyone please tell if it is Software complaint or a hardware Problem.

If a repair didn't sort this out I'd recommend you to let one of our authorized service shops have a look at your phone.

Me too facing the same problem. Very much disappointed. Its just 3mnths old and these kind of issues make me to loose trust on SONY. I have given to local sony support center on dec 3rd. They said its hardware issue and it needs to serviced. They told me that they will call me once the phone ready and I can expect call within a week.
Guys I'm back. I got my XPERIA U serviced on 7th dec. Quick service. Amazed by their quck service despite many poor service to other customers. As I said earlier mine is hardware issue so touch panel of cost 2,777 INR need to be changed. It was done free of cost as my phone was covered under warranty. Now my XPERIA U is working fine

I have bought a xpu from UK but I live in Bangladesh. Now if i am in need of a service center what may i do? Is there any chances of introducing sony mobile to Bangladesh through authorized dealers as Sony has for other products in Bangladesh.
