xperia u _old android version

hi, my phone was dead two days back , only till xperia logo screen  was coming  ..then i gave my phone to service center . they have resolved the error and told me that they have upgraded the software. now its working .but when i checked the android version its showing 2.3.7 (gingerbread) while earlier my phone was on Icecream sandwich version that i upgraded few months back..

now i want to upgrade it to the latest version that  is available but when i am checking "update centre" in my phone its saying

your phone already has the latest available application updates"

please let me know how can i upgrade my phone to latest available Android version in this case.

That doesn't quite make sense, try SUS or PCC if that doesn't work then take it to a Sony repair center
