Xperia U not charging

Hi everyone,

I got a Sony Xperia U and suddenly my xperia u is not charging through Ac wall plug

I started receiving the following error message - "USB devices disabled error".On clicking it i get the following pop-up "Power consumption by connected devices is increased, therefore, all of them have been disabled. Please disconnect them and try reconnecting". I get this message even when i try charging it thorugh the plug point. At times the charging symbol appears at the top right side but the red LED light for charging does not come on meaning the phone is not actually being charged. Am clueless about what to do as i am currently in a location where there is no Sony service centres around. Thinking_Face

now im charging my phone through my PC and its charging really slow

My current built is:6.1.1.B.1.10(rooted)

Anyone else faced these kind of problems? Please help!!

this was the same problem with thunderbird but there was no solution in that thread.

Regards,

Sounds to me like your phone doesn't recognize your wall charger as a charger, more like an USB accessories. Try to see if a repair of the phone software through PC Companion can solve your problem:

You can also try with another charger if you have that possibility.

If the problem persists it seems like this needs to be examined at a service center. Please contact your local support for more information:

after having this issue for way too long, i tried the obvious, i got a precision screwdriver (the flat one, and a very little one) and bent JUST A LITTLE the inside part of the usb cole (the part that has the tracks that connects to the charger) upwards. That was the problem....with the time, it got bent more and more downwards and started barelly making contact with the usb charger, by bending it upwards (i repeat, less than 1 milimeter, its very little) my phone got normal again, as all the tracks started now to make full contact with the charget.
Im not responsabile for ur phone and what happens to it, but that works.
