Xperia U Help!!

I put my phone on charge after work as it was about to die when it suddenly turned itself off after two hours and refused to turn itself back on. Only a red light blinks rapidly for three seconds next to the front camera lense. I have tried taking the battery out and placing it back in, trying different leads and usb ports from multiple devices and neither will work!

I really need this sorted

Let it charge for about 2 hours and then attempt to run a repair. Please ensure the phone is not connected when you start this process:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4.     Click repair phone.
5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.
