xperia u boot problem

Note: Device Xperia U

My phone was shut down

tried to switch it on

it shows "SONY"

then "Xperia"

and that's it, it is not getting into the system

and the 2 screens keep on looping

tried to remove the battery, and reboot ... In vain

please advise what to do

I don't want to lose the content.

Sounds like your firmware needs to be repaired but in doing so will factory reset your device meaning any data etc will be lost - To run a repair 1st make sure your phone is fully switched off and disconnected from your Pc then start PC Companion and click on Support zone then click on Update my phone/tablet then in Blue click on Repair my phone/tablet and when prompted hold volume down and connect your USB cable to your phone from your Pc - This should begin the repair process
