Hi
I can't get my PS3 to recognize my Xperia TX as a media server and thus get files from it.
I went to Applications -> Settings -> More -> Media Server Settings :
Enabled Share Content - the content is published to wifi network.
Then when I check for media server on the ps3 no media server is found ?? Any ideas ?
does anyone else have problems with the Xperia TX media sharing ?
Might be a silly question, but have you connected the TX to the same WiFi network as your PS3?
Yes its the same network. I see both on it. I can't figure it out... maybe its the phone that has something wrong with it ? I thought it would be simple but it doesnt work at all.
As long as you have connected them both to the same network you should be able to find the content when the functions is activated. You could try repairing the phone software to see if it helps. Download and install PC Companion from here:
http://www.sonymobile.com/update
You could also try to de-activate the security on your WiFi temporary to see if you can find the phone.
I already have the PC Companion. When I first got the phone in November it installed a new software on the phone for me and things worked a lot better. However I have never got the media sharing to work ever.
Maybe its the network I have ? But I don't have problems with the Sony PS3 or my Sony Bravia TV (or laptop or IPod touch) when connecting to the internet.
