Just received my Xperia M2 and thought I would use Xperia Transfer to migrate my contacts calander etc from my Xperia U.
Imagine my surprise to get the message the Xperia is not compatible with Xperia Transfer??????
Am I missing the point here, or is that really the case?
Thanks in anticipation,
Ray
Are you using PC Compannion or the Xperia transfer app?
Hi Thommo,
thanks for your reply, I an trying to use the "Xperia Transfer" pane in Sony PC Companion.

ps. The Xperia Transfer app says my phone is not compatible with this version of the app.
**bleep**.
My o/s is 2.3.7, I wonder if I can update to Ice Cream Sandwich??
Your contacts are they stored as a Google contact phone or sim - If it's a sim then which ever phone you put your sim in the contacts will be there phone then you could try a 3rd party app or save them as a .vcf file then transfer that file and update accordingly or Google contct you should be able to once logged in to Google on your new phone sync contacts and they will appear
Thanks, as I am 4G on the new phone they are sending me a new sim, I am wondering if after I have registered the phone with the new sim, I can swop to the old sim, copy contacts to phone and then replace sim with new one again.
Does that sound like a sensible plan?
If not I will follow up on your other suggestions.

I am assuming that as the Xperia U is not supported by any of the Xperia Transfer modes, that I will have to reload all my apps onto the new phone one at a time, unless anyone knows different............................????????
