Hi,

I have purchased Sony Xperia TIPO Dual Sim Mobile Model No: ST21i2 on 01/10/2012 from BIG C mobile. From the next day onwards This phone was getting ECHO (Outgoing Voice Problem - Receivers are getting resound while speaking).

So I contacted Sony Authorised servicing center 14th November and They Took my mobile for Servicing and they told me It will take 10 to 15 Days time.

below are the details for first time servicing

Job No: 12111400010 (14th Nov to 26th Nov) First time submitted  : problem is not solved

I have collected my mobile on 26th with the same condition. So I went to the same servicing center immediately and they told me same thing and They took my Phone for another 15 days Second time.

below are the details for first time servicing

Repeated Job No: 12112700399 Second Time submitted : problem is not solved.

and also I have sent emails to questions.in@support.sonymobile.com with ticket no :

Ticket: 94133502 everytime they are replying same thing.

Finally Sony was not able to repair ECHO problem.

Please Reply me if anybody got solution for this.

file a case or ask for replancement it SW issues with TIPO

ans why we shoudl pay for their mistake?

Mahipalji,

I had already installed my contacts,smses and downloaded some apps after purchasing the Sony Tipo Dual and then I learnt of this problem of echo at receiver's end.On contacting, I am advised by Sony Care centre to bring it to them for reinstalling the software.This means I have to forego all my troubles taken to store my information on the cell as it will be formated.

I was pained to  notice the efforts taken by you to sort out the problem and finding that nothing helped has triggered a panic button.This is just ridiculous ! Big name like Sony should come forth with solution to the problem at the earliest.And if they cant offer solution,they should pull back this Tipo Dual model from market and pay back Us our hard earned money.

Even in their Sony Companion,there is no scope to Backup/Restore sms.In contrast to this ,in there help page they say that there is such button ! How funny !

Hi all,

I am also having the same echo problem. actually its with all the tipo dual phones.

The solution that i have tried is this just remove the cover of phone and its resolved. But when i put the cover again the same problem comes back so its a temporary solution.

So we should file a case against sony for forcing them to find a solution of this problem.

Hi,

Inside cover you will find a protection sticker on Camera lense.I feel that removing this may solve our problem.But I am not sure.Some Sony person should come forth to help Us.

In my case after a visit to Sony Care and system reinstallation my echo problem has diminished. To my surprise,no files were deleted.However still ,when talking to Samsung phones holders ,I received this echo complaint.

When buying this Dual SIM phone,I had hoped that I'll able to use first SIM for calling and second SIM purely for sending sms.But till date ,inspite of trying much,I am not able to get this done.Any help please ?
