Xperia T Wont Charge/Turn On

Had the T for around 4 days on contract with T Mobile.

The phone was working fine, until today when i finished work, found out the phone was dead.

Having had a blackberry before this and i was able charge the phone from my cd player in the car, i did the same with this.

Phone charged, but then suddenly it was on 0% charge, phone died.

Tried powering it back on and all i got was flashing red lights.

I dont know how to reset the phone etc.

Managed on the off chance to get the phone past the start screen, but whenever i swipe the screen, all it says is "Android System".

Help Anyone?

connect it to the wall charger > press and hold the power button and volume up for 5-8seconds > let it charge for an hour and then try again

I'm experiencing the same problem above with my brand new Experia T. I ran the battery down to zero and after that I can't charge it or the phone does not respond at all. I have tried all the above with no success. I have tried three different micro USB cables, two different chargers as well as charging it from my laptop USB. It seems like the phone won't charge (it remains cold) and connect to the computer at all. The reset function volume up + power does not have any effect. When I push the power button the LED is only blinking red. Please advice on the best way to a functioning phone.

I got my Xperia T yesterday, all seemed to be fine until I tried to charge it tonight - it wont charge. It's down to 5% now, I have tried both chargers to no avail and my P.C and laptop won't recognise it. I am VERY fed up! I guess I have to send it back to Vodaphone . . . . anyone else had this problem?

Same problem here. I also think this must be a problem with this device. I hope there is a way to fix this, because I was really happy with the Xperia T... I always was an Iphone fan, but thought I'd try something else. Hope it can be solved..

Hi guys

Got an update on what to do.

Whatever you do, do not try charge off a car stereo or anything with a low power source.

Plug Charger in, Power the phone up, when the red light comes on, hold the power button in until it vibrates or powers up, its like a manual charging method. it might take upto 20 mins for the phone power up, but could be also less.

I hope this helps everyone Slightly_smiling_Face

Mines is doing the exact same as described on this thread now, and the fix isn't working either. I've only had the phone for 15days, so I think its time to take it back to the store today. Its incredibly frustrating, as up until now I've really liked the phone. I also wasn't given a microsim adaptor when I got the phone, so now, I'm unable to put my sim back into my blackberry and am therefore completely uncontactable. It's beyond annoying!
