I'm experiencing the same problem above with my brand new Experia T. I ran the battery down to zero and after that I can't charge it or the phone does not respond at all. I have tried all the above with no success. I have tried three different micro USB cables, two different chargers as well as charging it from my laptop USB. It seems like the phone won't charge (it remains cold) and connect to the computer at all. The reset function volume up + power does not have any effect. When I push the power button the LED is only blinking red. Please advice on the best way to a functioning phone.
Pls with due respect kindly show me how to turn my on cos i can't do it..i've waited for several days but still not charging..Thank you
Alright Lads , I got the solution for this Problem.
I received my External battery today for Sony Xperia T. you can find it on ebay or Amazon.
it will cost you 15 euros/pounds maximum!
when youll have it go to youtube and look at the disassembly videos.
I had troubles taking out my phones batter because it was GLUED BY MANUFACTURER i scrubed it with the knife and replaced the new one.
I see why the battery was glued now and why it stopped working after the update , because the manufacturer wants you to buy a new phone. and get rid of your current one.
So , in colution replace the trash original battery and your phone will work.
NOTE! Restore your factory settings and never ever update your phone if you dont want any troubles again.
P.S Ill never buy a SONY product again and will recomend all my friends and people that i know to avoid this brand.
"I keep coming back to these threads whenever my Experia T is acting up again. I finally bit the bullet and went the hardware way as described in a comment on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWox7kCygRE
"In the end I fixed this problem by removing the back cover (one screw in where the SIM card goes) and detaching the battery supply from the phone. After a minute or two I reattached the battery supply (its a little yellow tab beside where you plug in the charger) and put the cover back on, plugged into charger and it started charging as normal."
It's surprisingly simple, to be honest." - LilMol
This worked for me Lil Mol...I had to go back to using my X1 for a week...I loved that phone but missed this one...phew!

I can't wait to get my upgrade...Z3
Hi all,
I had the same kind of issues but my case goes a bit further.
So battery was 0%, phone swiched off. Not the first time so I know the trick holding the power button until it loads enough to start.
The issue I have is the following:
I hold the power button (red LED is on) until the phone vibrates. Release the button. The phone doesn't do anything, if I keep going holding the button, it vibrates several times like the phone is trying to start but switch off everytime.
I never see the Xperia title or nothing the phone screen is just black.
After vibrating a few times, the red light is displayed again, and the process goes on and on.
Anyone had this issue before ??
Please help
Thanks
Thanks so much for the help here. My problem was the exact same and your solution worked perfectly.. So happy. Thank you
How did you fix the problem?
Hey Guys,
Basically my xperia Z was on charge yesterday (35%) and all of a sudden it stopped charging.
I checked the charger and tried all the other chargers i had in my house but it just woudlnt charge.
Then eventually, my phone ran out of battery and died.
I left it to charge over night but still no luck. Ive tried all the reset buttons and other stuff but it still isnt working.
Now the red light blinks 3 times when im trying to charge it.
ANY HELP PLEASE?
Thanks
