Xperia T Shut down problems

On most occasions when trying to shut down my Xperia T, I find that having selected power off, the phone starts shutting down but then reboots itself. I then have to go through the process a second time to get the phone to switch off. Anyone else finding this problem? any ideas?

I don't have the same problem than you, but mine takes so long to shut down.

It never reboot by itself, but takes a lot.

I've read on the forum about other people that has the same problem than you... you may read to know if there's any solution.

Yes i have that problem a few times but not just that... mine shuts down and has to be rebooted to start it... i suspect its a software problem even the signal strength on wifi is low... i have to be in the same room as my router to get full bars... hopefully sony will pick up this problem..

My Sola also had a problem of rebooting after trying to shut it down.

But after having it for almost a year, I discovered that one must keep the side power button pressed in whilst selecting the power off (shut down) screen prompts.

Only then release the side button.

Has closed down normally like this every time.

The phone is updated to the last ice cream sandwich update.
