Xperia T mobile data problem

Hi there,

I have an Xperia T for a few months and am experiencing a VERY frustrating problem.

I use only mobile data (no wireless), and internet connection seems to be unstable. Goes on and off.

The reception is perfect, nothing to do with that.

Connection can be off for a few minutes, and then comes on again by itself (and then I get a notification for all the Whatsapp messages I've received and missed while the connection was off). Then goes off again. All by itself.

Again - very frustrating.

Can anyone please help?

Is your Xperia T compatible with T-mobile's 3G frequencies? How old is your SIM card? Is it a micro SIM card or a trimmed SIM card? Do you have any taskiller or antivirus?

It should be compatible with my service provider's (Orange) frequencies, otherwise it would'nt work at all, no?

I use a new micro sim.

I have no antivirus, and am not sure what exactly are taskillers.

You could try to repair your phone with SUS

Update Service (SUS)

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)

Ok I had this kinda problem once. What I did is, I deleted all the Internet settings (APN) and reinstalled all APN from my carrier.
Go to settings-->More-->mobile networks-->access point name and click on those 3dots on top and reset to defaults. Now you'll have no APN(access Point Name) now reinstall all APN from you mobile operator and restart your phone.

If the above techniques don't solve your problem then you have to repair your phone using SUS or PCC as mentioned by uliwooly.

thanks for this - how do i reinstall the details from my provider?

You just call your operator and ask them to send you new configuration for internet.......that's all you have to do.
