Xperia T keeps crashing constantly

My phone keeps crashing all the time, from watching videos clips and using the camera to sending texts making phone calls, going on Facebook, playing music on YouTube browsing my photo albums etc.

I have tried a task manager to try and take the load off the phone.

It has done it a lot anyway in the time i have owned it but is becoming at least a 14 times a day occurrence and I am sick of it now, it's past 6 months since i bought it so i don't think i can take it back to the shop but it is on contract, is there anything else i can do?

Please don't tell me to un-install all apps and run without them as what is the point in having a smartphone then.

Thanks for the help

Unfortunately I have to recommend that you do a repair of the phone software via Sony PC companion:

Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know if you are still having this issue after the repair of the phone software.

I have the same problem. Phone reboots randomly. I updated to latest firmware 141 and didnt install any extra apps but still the same. strangely the phone seems stable when on charge which leads me to believe its a hardware problem not software.

If you have tried a repair of the phone software without restoring your backup and without installing apps and the problem is still there:

I recommend you to contact your local support for further information

on how to send it in to a repair center for investigation:

hi henke. thanks for reply. unfortunately I bought the phone secondhand and therefore have no warranty. I am going to stick with the new firmware for a while to see if things improve. If they dont then will flash ICS ver. 303 to confirm its a hardware problem. cheers Dan

For those who have the warranty, try the safe mode, (this limits you to only pre-loaded software).  If that does not work call the support line and get service on it.

A warning, the first time they will just do a software reload.  If that works for you, good.  It did not for me and they have it for the second time, just shy of a month and counting.

The new firmware 141 definitely improves stability. I was getting 20 or more reboots a day now down to only 1 in last 24 hours. Still not acceptable really but better than nothing. I couldn't get the update OTA(mine is on O2) so had to use flash tool and download the firmware ftf file. The procedure for flashing is difficult, with lots of contradicting info on the web. Getting the phone into fast boot was a nightmare for some reason but once the right windows drivers loaded it flashed OK
