Edit:
Update does reset all settings and apps!
even if SUS tells you that you already have the newest software, just reinstall it.
it may fix your issues.
Ok, will try it... thanks !
I had this issue, overall I had been very disappointed with my phones performance since updating to 141, despite it not restarting all the time there seemed to be significant UI lag (worse than ICS) and other general bugs (like mail not automatically syncing).
Today I did this, Backed up my photos (the only data on my phone that's stored locally and is not replicated elsewhere).
Then I used Backup and Reset to format my phone. Then I used Repair phone on the PC/Mac Util to reinstall 141. So far so good. I don't get memory issues - which is where when browsing 3 + tabs in Chrome I'd see all my icons redraw when returning to the home screen. Generally the phone feels much better, faster and more rleibale. The only pain is reinstalling all the apps.
I'm glad i'm not the only one having the same issues with update 141 and at the same time very disappointed hearing no news nor receiving information of Sony about this.
Yesterday I did a complete reinstall with SUS. For the moment not installing any third apps and looking day by day if the problem...
To be honest Sony support would tell you to do exactly what I have done (well without the extra step of formatting the phone first). In this case it actually does fix the issue (so far).
Do you mean with Repair phone Util -> SUS (Sony Update Service) or did you repair it with Sony Pc Compagnion ?
I never get anything useful out of SUS, it's never found an update. It may be becasue I use Sony Bridge for Mac to apply my update before they come OTA.
Anyway I pretty much use the Sony Mac or PC software to repair my phone, with the exception of deleing all the data on the phone which I did on the phone itself.
Ok, it's because an other member did the suggestion of SUS. On startup SUS told me that my firmware was up to date but asked if it was necessary to reinstal/repair the phone...what i did...
Sorry, I'm confusing things SUS is the PC app, I've not used it, I use the Mac equivellent, I thoguht people were refering to update center on the phone itself which is what I was refering to above.
Strange thigs to read here from you all... I guess it wasn't so bad in Poland. Got the Xperia T from Sony Centre, CZ-SK-PL Edition for East Europe, linked by cable to the PC and update in 18 minutes... No Apps erased, no settings reseted, no data lost.
Interface much smoother, and battery life now for 2-3 days without charge, camera no changes.
Maybe it wasn't a sony update, just internal Android Service Pack... I heard that it's all about Android and it's bugs to slow down even quad-core devices.
BTW about Galaxy S4, I heard that's even a bigger mistake than our T. People say it's full of lags, bugs, and the core temperature goes near 47 degrees while game playing. So maybe it's not about sony itself, all companies went into a race for money, and global market lead. Many friends I know say samsungs became sh**ty nowdays, and plastic covers are as good as no cover at all... A thing to think about then, cause many people I know get little bit jealous about T gum-alike cover, and detail perfection of the phone... so... maybe it's not that bad at all
