Xperia SP stamina mode not working

after I updated the phone to the latest 4.3 Jelly Bean version the Stamina Mode doesn't seem to work.
I keep receiving WhatsApp messages even when the stamina mode is turned on and the screen turned off! 
Battery time is also reduced. What's causing this? how can i fix it?

DId you add your whatsapp to the stamina white list that cause the app to still active even phone is idle.

I'm not sure mate! I don't know what the the Stamina white list is Slightly_frowning_Face

Try to go Settings > Power Management > Stamina Mode > Add Application.

On that list try to see if WhatsApp is there, If WhatsApp is on the list means you already add the app there to avoid from stop running even the screen is off or the phone is idle.

Therefore you will not stop recieving test even if the phone is on idle, unless you remove the app from the while list at stamine mode.
