Hi ,
I bought Xperia SP few days back which had pre applied plastic sheet on screen.
Now found that this sheet is getting a lot scratch & fingertips marks, that's making my display dirty .
1> Does this sheet protect the screen from scratches/damages?
2>Can I remove this Plastic sheet on my own to apply another Screen guard available on the market?
2>Does removing this plastic sheet means the SONY logo will also be removed leading warranty void?
3>If I cant remove this sheet Can I apply another new screen guard on top of it?
Thanks.
1. The sheet you talk of is a ASF Anti shatter film
2. Yes you can remove it but this may void your warranty
3. No the Sony logo will remain - This is something from the Z series
4. Yes you can apply another screen guard on top - In some countries one is supplied out the box
When i buying my xperia SP it has applied a removeble temporary protective sheet on it's display, Under that there is no any protective sheet because of Xperia SP have corning gorilla glass. So what is "ASF Anti shatter film" that you said
i have applied a sheet to my sp manually when i buy it..it protect from scratches and else...
I just confirmed from Sony Centre folks .
The ASF sheet does not come with SP series ,it only comes with Z series.
So removing the plastic sheet (which is not ASF) does not cause any issue ,neither it voids warranty in xperia SP
So user can apply own scratch guard removing this plastic removable sheet in xperia SP.
So there is no way to remove sony logo?
