Xperia SP screen problem

Dears firstly I have to say I'm very sick and tired of small but annoying bugs of Xperias.

My Xperia SP which is bought about a month ago, has some annoying display problem which is, when I press power button to turn the screen off, sometimes (actually frequently) the screen illumination(the background illumination of display, not the illumination bar) lights up but display does not wake up. Those who know how TFT screen works should understand what I mean.

Has any of you faced this problem?

Yes I have experienced this but twice or thrice in last 1 and 1/2 months as my Xperia SP is only that much old.

yes i have the same problem...i am experiencing it everyday....and its really annoying...the screen illuminates but the lock screen dosent show up....plz help me with this i bought my phone 1 week back and im experiencing this problem....if anyone has any solution please reply...!!

Same problem here =(, there is no solution yet? =/. Im very worried about that little problem, cuz it happens to me at least once per day, and I like the phone, is just that I can't understand what is causing that issue. Hope someone can help us ASAP, I have just a few days with this phone (7days).

I can confirm this problem, but have no idea what is happening with the screen. I don't find it annoying, but it sometimes confuses me, thinking that the phone is going to ring.

Would be nice if someone from Sony department can confirm this or give some sort of explanation.

Same problem here. Happens after upgrading to the most recent version of Android, provided by Sony.

I think it's due to a 'fix' of a previous problem of not being able to unlock the phone (no touch input was registered by the phone), but that's just a guess.

Hello, i bough the phone 2 weeks ago...after the update i have the same problem!!! i sent it to sony service and yesterday i took it back. I think that they...only update the phone! The is still there!
Is there any partner of sony that could give us a responsible answer if the problem is due to upgrate or not.
Wait for an answer.

thats a bug of all the Xperia sp. hope sony fix it with the update to 4.3

From last 4 or 5 days I am experiencing the same problem and last day suddenly my phone's sensors stopped working like no auto rotation no gyroscope and no accelerometer etc. I don't know if these problems are related or not but it is very bad.

I've got this as well. It annoys me! I've sent it for a reparation already 2 times (and I've only had it for 2 and a half months, of which one and a half month in the repair center!), but it still isnt fixed. My screen has been replaced twice though, so its not a hardware problem, but a software one. Any news on this issue?
